Nutley Doctor Serves as Official AVP Volleyball Chiropractor

From June 29th to July 2nd, the AVP Crocs Tour descended upon Seaside Heights, New Jersey for the AVP Seaside Heights Open. On-hand at the event was Nutley-based Dr. Nick Stabile, who was named the Official Chiropractor for the tournament, where his duties included adjusting the top professional volleyball players in the world.

Nutley resident Dave Popkin, Vice President and Partner of Positive Impact Partners, the local promoter of the AVP Seaside Heights Open said, “Dr. Stabile was a tremendous asset for our event. His experience working with athletes at all levels was apparent and it’s clear that he loves what he does. His enthusiasm is contagious. The physical demands on the players are great and they needed top notch care.”

The AVP Seaside Heights Open was a great success, setting a new attendance record for an AVP Tour tournament in New Jersey. It also marked the second time that a husband and wife duo took home the championship in the same tournament, as both Kerri Walsh and Casey Jennings were victorious at the end of the day. Walsh and her partner Misty May-Treanor defeated Elaine Youngs and Rachel Wacholder for their sixth win on tour this season. In the process, though, Youngs became just the third female beach volleyball player to surpass one million dollars in career earnings. On the men’s side, Jennings and Matt Fuerbringer survived the Contender’s bracket before defeating Dax Holdren and Sean Scott. It was the first time that either of these two teams had made it to a final this year.

Dr. Nicholas F. Stabile received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia and his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. “Dr. Nick”, as his patients refer to him, is a Certified Instructor for Chiropractic BioPhysics Technique (CBP). CBP is the most researched and index medicus published chiropractic technique in the world. CBP technique utilizes the most advanced methods in the restoration of normal posture and spinal positioning. Dr. Stabile is an adjunct professor at William Paterson University with the exercise and Movement Science Department.

Dr. Stabile also currently serves as the Official Team Chiropractor for the New York Red Bulls (MLS), who play their games at Giants Stadium.

“I had a wonderful time working with these world-class athletes to help them feel good and play their best,” Stabile says.

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
